Frequently asked questions

How do I turn on fireflies after installing the data pack?
Fireflies spawn automatically in swamp and mangrove swamp biomes at night once the data pack is loaded. If you don't see them, check that the data pack is enabled in your world settings and that you're in the correct biome after sunset.
Can I change how many fireflies appear?
Yes, run the command `/function vanilla_fireflies:menu` to access customization options where you can adjust the spawn rate of fireflies in your world.
Do fireflies only spawn in swamps?
Fireflies spawn in swamp and mangrove swamp biomes. They will not appear in other biomes, even if you customize the spawn settings.
Why aren't fireflies showing up in my swamp at night?
Check that the data pack is enabled, you're in a swamp or mangrove swamp biome, it's nighttime, and the area has loaded properly. If fireflies are still missing, try running `/reload` to refresh the data pack.
