How do I start mine cells dead cells mod?
Craft or find a way into the Prisoners' Quarters dimension, which is the entry point for all Mine Cells content. Once inside, break cells from enemies and deposit them at the Cell Holder to unlock permanent upgrades before you die.
How do cells work in mine cells mod?
Cells drop from killed mobs and are banked at a Cell Holder, which is usually found near the start of each area. Banked cells are spent on permanent unlocks, but you lose any cells you're carrying if you die before banking them.
What happens when I die in mine cells?
Dying sends you back to your respawn point and you drop the cells you were carrying, similar to Dead Cells' roguelite loop. Use a Respawn Rune or Concierge/Conjunctivius Respawn Rune to set where you come back.

Conjunctivius lives in the Sewers, reached through Ancient Sewage areas after the Prisoners' Quarters. Bring a bow or ranged option, since the fight involves tentacles and projectiles at range.
What do runes do in mine cells?
Runes unlock permanent traversal or respawn abilities, such as the Barrier Rune, Concierge Respawn Rune, and Conjunctivius Respawn Rune. Activate them at their matching Obelisk or Spawn Obelisk to bind the effect.
How do I use obelisks and spawn obelisks?
Right-click an Obelisk or Spawn Obelisk with the matching rune to activate it, which sets a respawn point or spawns the associated boss. Concierge and Conjunctivius each have their own Spawn Obelisk.
Why can't I break blocks in mine cells areas?
Some structures and blocks like Ancient Septite Bricks and Black Bridge Doorway are meant to be part of the dungeon layout and may resist normal breaking. Use the intended route (doors, elevators, runes) rather than trying to mine through.
