Craft an iron or better fishing rod and attach a hook, then cast into any water like vanilla fishing. Aquaculture 2 hooks change what you catch, so swap hooks to target different loot tables.

Craft a hook and combine it with your fishing rod, or attach it via the rod's hook slot. Each hook type biases the catch toward certain items, fish, or treasure, so match the hook to what you're after.

Break dirt, grass, or leaves and you'll occasionally get worms as a drop. You can also farm them passively in a Worm Farm by placing dirt or compostable material inside.

Place the Worm Farm block, put dirt or organic material in it, and it will slowly generate worms over time. Collect the worms from the output slot to use as bait.

Most raw fish can be smelted in a furnace, cooked in a smoker, or used in a campfire like vanilla food. Some fish combine with other ingredients to make seafood meals.

Neptunium comes from fishing — you'll occasionally reel up neptunium ingots or nuggets as treasure. You can also find it in loot from certain aquatic mobs and structures.

Neptunium is used for tools, weapons, armor, and fishing rods that are stronger than their iron or diamond equivalents. It also appears in some decorative and utility recipes.

Craft a Fish Mount from wood planks, then place it and right-click with a fish to mount it. Different wood types give different mount appearances, and you can remove the fish by sneaking and right-clicking.

Aquaculture 2 is a Java Edition mod and does not run on Bedrock. Bedrock players would need a separate add-on or behavior pack that mimics its features.
