Overview

Mekanism is an independent technology mod that provides a comprehensive suite of low, mid, and high-tier machinery to automate and optimize resource management. Unlike many tech mods, Mekanism does not rely on a single energy type, instead offering a universal energy system compatible with RF, FE, and EU. The mod is built around a linear progression system centered on Osmium, a versatile resource found deep underground.

Key features include: * Tiered Progression: Machines and items are categorized into four tiers: Basic (Green), Advanced (Red), Elite (Cyan), and Ultimate (Purple). * Ore Quintupling: A complex chemical processing line that can turn a single ore block into five ingots. * Modular Gear: The MekaSuit and Meka-Tool, which can be customized with various modules for flight, invulnerability, and rapid mining. * Digital Mining: The Digital Miner, an automated quarry that uses filters to selectively mine specific resources without destroying the landscape. * Advanced Logistics: A robust system of pipes, cables, and the QIO wireless storage system.

How do I make Steel in Mekanism?

Steel is produced by combining Iron with Enriched Iron in an Enriching Factory or via the Metallurgic Infusing recipe type using Infused Carbon. You can also find Steel Ingots as outputs from the Metallurgic Infusing and Combining recipe types.

How do I get Enriched Iron?

Enriched Iron is made by processing Iron through the Enriching recipe type in an Enriching Factory. It is a key intermediate for producing Steel and other advanced materials.

How do I charge my Jetpack?

Place the Jetpack in a Chargepad or connect it to a Universal Cable, Mechanical Pipe, or Energy Cube to receive energy. The Armored Jetpack functions the same way but provides additional protection.

How do I transfer energy between machines?

Use Universal Cables to transfer energy between machines, Energy Cubes, and Induction Cells. Mechanical Pipes move items, Pressurized Tubes move chemicals, and Logistical Transporters move items over longer distances.

How do I store chemicals?

Use a Basic, Advanced, or Creative Chemical Tank to store chemicals like Brine or Bio Fuel. Pressurized Tubes connect chemical tanks to machines that consume or produce chemicals.

How do I fill a Chemical Tank?

Connect the Chemical Tank to a machine that outputs chemicals using Pressurized Tubes, or use a Chemical Oxidizer, Chemical Infuser, or Chemical Washer to produce chemicals directly into the tank.

How do I get Lithium?

Lithium is obtained through the Chemical Dissolution Chamber and Chemical Crystallizer processing chain, typically starting from ores processed in a Chemical Injection Chamber. It is used in the Antiprotonic Nucleosynthesizer and other advanced recipes.

How do I get rid of radiation?

Radiation is generated by Uranium-based materials and the Antiprotonic Nucleosynthesizer. To reduce radiation, avoid storing raw Uranium or Antimatter Pellets in open areas and use proper containment like Block of Uranium or Block of Lead shielding.

How do I make Bronze?

Bronze is made by combining Copper and Tin in a Metallurgic Infusing or Combining recipe. Bronze Ingots, Nuggets, and Dusts can all be produced and used in crafting recipes.

How do I upgrade my machines to Advanced tier?

Use an Advanced Tier Installer on a Basic machine to upgrade it to the Advanced variant, such as Basic Enriching Factory to Advanced Enriching Factory. Tier Installers work on factories, energy cubes, tanks, and other upgradable blocks.
