How do you get relics in the Relics mod?
Relics are found through exploration rather than crafted, so looting is your progression. Each relic has randomized stats, so two copies of the same relic can differ.
How do you upgrade a relic?
Every relic has abilities you can tune. Level up raises an ability's level and improves its attributes, reroll randomly rerolls an ability's attributes for better or worse values, and reset returns an ability to its minimum level and refunds the spent upgrade points.
How does relic research work?
A relic's ability is revealed through a research minigame: explore the icon hidden under fog, match its star pattern, and connect the stars into a constellation, using the particle hints visible at star positions even through the fog. Researching an ability unlocks its full potential.
What does the Ghostly Mantle do?
The Ghostly Mantle leaves mist behind you while moving; targets in the mist lose air, and looking at you builds charges that reduce their effectiveness. It can also cancel lethal damage, sending you into spectral flight with a period of immortality.
Which relics help with movement?
Several relics change how you move: the Kinetic Belt reduces gravity and air resistance while you hold jump, the Springy Boot launches you with a crouch jump, the Roller Skate ramps up speed while running, and the Chorus Staff teleports you forward from a recharging buffer.
Do relics work well together?
Yes. The mod is designed around synergy — a relic's potential unlocks both when used alone and in combination with other relics. The Experience Disperser even shares experience across all your equipped relics when one gains it, speeding up leveling your whole set.
