How do I start using Rechiseled after installing it?
Craft a Chisel and right-click any supported block with it to open the chisel GUI, where you pick a variant. The Chisel is the core tool for the whole mod, so make it first.
How does the chisel actually work?
Right-click a compatible block with the Chisel to open a menu showing every available pattern for that block type, then click a variant to convert the block in place. You can cycle back to the original block from the same menu.
Why do my Rechiseled blocks look flat instead of connected?
Connected textures need a mod like Fusion (or an equivalent connected-textures library) installed alongside Rechiseled. Without it, blocks still work but patterns won't blend across block borders.
What mods does Rechiseled need to run?
Rechiseled depends on a connected-textures library such as Fusion for its connected variants. Check the mod's dependencies on its download page and install them in the same loader.
Rechiseled isn't working and blocks are missing, what's wrong?
The most common cause is a missing or mismatched dependency, or a mod-loader version conflict. Confirm Fusion (or the required library) is installed for the same Minecraft version and loader as Rechiseled.
Can I automate Rechiseled block production?
Yes, but the Chisel GUI is manual, so automation usually means piping blocks through a mechanical/automation mod's crafting or processing setup that outputs the variant you want. There's no built-in auto-chisel block in Rechiseled itself.
Is Rechiseled compatible with chipped?
They can be installed together since they add different block sets, but they don't share a chisel tool or GUI. Use Rechiseled's Chisel for Rechiseled blocks and Chipped's own tool for its blocks.
What's the difference between Rechiseled and chipped?
Rechiseled focuses on connected textures and pattern variants of vanilla-style blocks like planks, bricks and pillars, while Chipped offers a much larger catalogue of standalone decorative variants. Many players run both.
Does Rechiseled hurt performance?
Connected textures add some rendering cost, especially with large patterned builds, but it's usually modest. If you see FPS drops, reduce connected-texture settings in your connected-textures mod or limit how many patterned blocks are in view.
Can I turn a Rechiseled block back into the original?
Yes, open the Chisel GUI on the block and select the original vanilla variant from the pattern list. This lets you undo a conversion without breaking the block.
