Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Jade config menu in-game?
Open the mod list from the pause menu, select Jade, and click the config button to reach its settings screen. You can also bind a key in the controls menu to toggle Jade's overlay on and off while playing.
Why aren't tooltips showing up when I look at blocks?
Jade only shows info for the block or entity you're actually pointing at, so make sure your crosshair is on the target and you're close enough. If nothing appears at all, check that the overlay isn't toggled off via its keybind or disabled in the config.
How do I make Jade show chest contents without opening the chest?
Just aim your crosshair at the chest and Jade's tooltip will list the items inside automatically. This works for any block with an inventory, like hoppers, barrels, and other containers.
How do I turn off specific tooltip lines I don't care about?
In the Jade config, each provider (like item handlers, mob effects, or horse stats) can be toggled on or off individually. Disable the ones you don't want and the tooltip will only show the remaining info.
