FastQuit Mod Wiki & Guide

wiki.9minecraft.net/fastquit-mod/

FastQuit Mod lets you return to the main menu right away when you leave a world. You no longer have to wait for the saving process to finish. The mod saves your world in the background, so you can get back to playing faster.

Guides

Step-by-step, in-game.

Configuration

Every setting in the mod config file, with what it changes.

OptionWhat it does
allowMultipleServersAllow multiple running WorldsWhen this option is enabled, you can join a new world while the old one is still saving. This is safe to do in vanilla Minecraft, but some mods may have issues when 2 servers run at the same time.
backgroundPriorityBackground Thread PrioritySets the thread priority of the server when saving worlds in the background. This is done to improve client performance while saving, but will make the saving take longer over all.
renderSavingScreenRender "Saving world" ScreenWhen playing on high render distance, quitting the world can still take a bit because the client-side chunk storage has to be cleared. By enabling this setting the "Saving world" screen will be rendered.
showSavingTimeShow Saving TimeDetermines whether the time it took/takes to save the world gets displayed on toasts and the world list.
showToastsShow ToastsDetermines whether a toast gets shown when a world finishes saving.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn on FastQuit so it actually saves in the background?
FastQuit works automatically once installed — just leave a world normally and you'll be sent to the title screen while the save continues in the background. If it doesn't seem to be working, check that the mod is enabled in your mod loader and that its settings haven't been changed in Mod Menu.
Does FastQuit actually save my world, or does it just skip saving?
It genuinely saves your world — the save just happens in the background instead of blocking you on the loading screen. The mod is designed to keep your world data safe and prevent loss during that background save.
Can I quit the game entirely while a world is still saving in the background?
You should wait for the background save to finish before closing Minecraft completely, since quitting the game can interrupt the save. FastQuit only speeds up returning to the title screen, not shutting down the whole game.
Why does my world show up in the list while it's still saving?
That's intentional — FastQuit keeps the world visible in your world list during the background save so you can still interact with it. You can see, edit, delete, or recreate it from the list while the save runs.
