How to Make FastQuit Save Your World in the Background Without Losing Progress
Understand what FastQuit actually does
When you leave a world, FastQuit skips the usual "Saving world..." screen and drops you straight to the title screen. The save still happens, just in the background. Your world is not lost, but you should not force-close the game or kill the process while a save is in progress, because that interrupts the background write.
Steps to leave safely
1. Open the pause menu and choose Save and Quit to Title as normal. You will land on the title screen almost immediately.
2. Look at your world list. A world that is still saving will typically show some kind of saving indicator or status next to it.
3. If you want to be extra safe, avoid deleting, recreating, or heavily editing a world while it is still saving. FastQuit allows these actions, but doing them mid-save is riskier than waiting a few seconds.
4. Only quit the game (or shut down your PC) once no worlds show a saving state.
If something looks wrong
If a world seems stuck saving for an unusually long time, check your save priority setting and your disk activity. A very low priority can make background saves take much longer, which is expected behavior, not corruption.
