Frequently asked questions

Does the mod work on logs I already have in my world?
Yes. The mod applies to any wood blocks destroyed by fire, whether they existed before you installed the mod or were placed after. Existing forests and structures will start dropping charcoal the next time fire spreads through them.
What types of wood does this work on?
The mod works on standard log blocks from vanilla Minecraft and most modded logs that use compatible wood block types. Stripped logs and wood variants are typically included, but check your specific mod combination if you're using multiple wood mods.
Can I change the charcoal drop chance?
Yes. The mod includes a configuration file where you can adjust the drop rate percentage. You can set it anywhere from 0% (no drops) to 100% (guaranteed drops), or disable the mod entirely for specific situations.
Does charcoal burn differently than regular wood?
Charcoal produced by this mod has fire resistance, meaning it won't be consumed by fire or lava like normal wood. This makes it ideal for building in dangerous biomes or creating fire-resistant structures.
