Getting Started: The Portal

To enter the Twilight Forest, you must construct a specific portal in the Overworld.

Portal Construction Steps

  1. Dig a Hole: Create a 2x2 shallow pool (4 blocks total) and fill it with water source blocks.
  2. Decorate the Rim: Surround the water with natural plants. This includes flowers, mushrooms, tall grass, or saplings. All 8 blocks surrounding the 2x2 pool must have a plant on top.
  3. Activate: Throw a Diamond into the water. Lightning will strike, transforming the water into a purple portal surface.
Requirement Description
Water Pool 2x2 square, 1 block deep.
Frame Dirt, Grass, Podzol, or Mycelium.
Plants Any 'natural' block (Flowers, Saplings, Mushrooms).
Catalyst 1x Diamond (dropped into the water).
