How to Build the Twilight Forest Portal

Gather the Portal Materials

You need a source of water and a way to place it in a ring, plus a way to activate the portal. Build a 2x2 pool of water on the ground, then surround it with flowers or other natural plant blocks. The portal frame is formed from the water itself, not from stone or obsidian.

Activate and Enter

Once the water pool is surrounded by plants, throw a Diamond into the water. The water will transform into the Twilight Forest portal. Step into the portal to be transported. To return, step back into the portal on the other side.

What to Bring

Bring a weapon, food, and blocks. You will arrive in a forest biome with hostile creatures. Place a Canopy Chest near the portal and store spare items there. Use Canopy Planks, Canopy Slab, and Canopy Stairs to build a small shelter around the portal so you can find it again. Mark the portal with a Brazier or Candelabra for visibility. If you die, you respawn at your bed or world spawn, not at the portal, so keep the portal area safe and lit.
