Frequently asked questions

How do I start building a raw gold beacon base?
Place raw gold blocks in a pyramid shape beneath where you want your beacon, just like you would with iron, gold, or netherite blocks. Once your pyramid is complete, place the beacon block on top and it will activate.
Can I use raw gold instead of ingots to power my beacon?
Yes, raw gold blocks can be placed directly into the beacon's payment slot instead of raw gold ingots or other mineral ingots. This lets you power your beacon without smelting your raw gold first.
Do raw gold beacon bases work the same as regular beacon bases?
Raw gold beacon bases function identically to iron, gold, and netherite bases—the pyramid size determines which effects you can select, and the beacon will grant those effects to nearby players.
Can I mix raw gold blocks with other materials in my beacon pyramid?
Yes, you can combine raw gold blocks with iron, gold, netherite, and other beacon materials in the same pyramid structure without any issues.
