How to Fix Jade Tooltips Not Showing or Showing Too Much

Tooltips Missing

If nothing appears when you look at blocks or mobs, first confirm the overlay is enabled in the Jade config. Check that the relevant provider category is turned on, since disabling entity or block providers hides those tooltips. Make sure no other keybind or mod is capturing the same key Jade uses. If you recently changed display mode with the Jade keybind, cycle it back. Also verify you are actually aiming at a valid target within reach; the raycast only registers what your crosshair touches.

Tooltips Too Cluttered

If the panel shows more than you want, open the config and disable individual providers. Turn off item handler contents if container previews feel noisy, or hide mod names to shorten labels. You can also reduce the amount of entity info by disabling growth, horse stats, or effect providers you do not use.

Conflicts and Positioning

If the tooltip overlaps another mod's HUD, move Jade's position in the config or change its scale. When two mods both render block info, disable one to avoid duplicate panels. After any change, look at a block again to confirm the result; Jade applies config changes without a restart, so you can iterate quickly until the display matches your preference.
