How to Use Jade to Inspect Mobs, Players, and Horses

Mob and Player Info

Point your crosshair at a mob or another player. Jade shows the entity's name and, when relevant, the status effects currently applied to it. This is handy for spotting a debuffed mob, checking whether a buff is still active, or seeing what potion effects another player is running. The tooltip updates live as effects are added or expire.

Growth and Breeding

For baby animals and growing entities, Jade can display growth progress and the feeding delay, so you know when an animal can be fed again to breed or age up. Watch the progress indicator while feeding to confirm the cooldown has reset before trying again.

Horse Statistics

When you look at a horse, Jade can show detailed stats such as its speed, jump strength, and health. This lets you compare horses quickly without taming and testing each one. Ride or lead candidates near you, aim at each in turn, and read the numbers to pick the best mount. If entity info is not appearing, check the config and make sure the entity providers are enabled, and confirm the entity is close enough and unobstructed for the raycast to hit it.
