How to Repair Silent Gear Tools and Armor
Use a Repair Kit
Silent Gear gear does not repair with the vanilla anvil-plus-ingot method. Instead, craft a Repair Kit matching the material tier of your tool (for example, an Azure Silver Repair Kit for Azure Silver gear). Repair kits are made from the same material family as the gear and are consumed on use. Hold the kit and the damaged tool, then combine them — the tool regains durability based on the kit's material quality.
Repairing in the Field
You can repair anywhere, not just at a station, which makes repair kits ideal for long mining trips or Nether excursions. Carry a stack of kits sized to your main tool's material. Higher-tier materials generally restore more durability per kit, so a Blaze Gold or Tyrian Steel kit is worth far more than a basic one.
Salvage Instead of Repair
If a tool is nearly broken and you would rather rebuild it, take it to the Gear Smithing Table and salvage it back into its component parts. The parts retain their material traits, so you can reassemble the tool with a fresh head or swap a worn rod. This is often cheaper than repeatedly repairing a low-tier tool, and it lets you upgrade individual parts as you unlock better materials.
