How to Get Silk Touch and Other Enchantments on Silent Gear
Enchanting Silent Gear Tools
Silent Gear tools accept vanilla enchantments through the normal enchanting table and anvil, but their modular nature means enchantments apply to the assembled tool, not to individual parts. If you salvage a tool, enchantments are lost. For that reason, enchant late — after you are happy with the material build — so you do not waste levels on a tool you will rebuild.
Silk Touch Specifically
Silk Touch works on Silent Gear pickaxes, axes, and shovels exactly as it does on vanilla tools. Enchant the finished tool at an enchanting table or combine an enchanted book at an anvil. Because Silent Gear tools can have higher base stats than vanilla equivalents, a Silk Touch Silent Gear pickaxe often mines faster than a vanilla one while still preserving blocks.
Traits vs Enchantments
Some Silent Gear materials grant trait effects that resemble enchantments — for example, fortune-like or efficiency-like bonuses. These are separate from real enchantments and can stack with them. If you want maximum Silk Touch utility, pick a material whose traits complement the enchantment rather than duplicating it, and save your enchantment slots for effects the material cannot provide.
