How to Assemble Your First Silent Gear Tool

Gather the Parts

Silent Gear tools are not crafted whole. You build them from three components: a head (pickaxe head, axe head, shovel head, etc.), a binding, and a tool rod (handle). Each part is crafted separately using its own blueprint and template, then combined. Blueprints are reusable patterns; templates are the physical stencil you place in the Gear Smithing Table. Craft a blueprint for the head you want, then use it to stamp out a template, then use the template plus the correct material to produce the actual part.

Combine at the Gear Smithing Table

Place your head, binding, and rod into the Gear Smithing Table. The table shows the resulting tool and its stats before you commit. Each part contributes different traits and stat weights: heads drive most of the mining speed and durability, rods influence durability and sometimes attack, bindings add small bonuses and often a trait. Different materials give different traits, so mixing a sturdy head with a light rod can produce a tool that is faster or tougher than a uniform build.

Test and Iterate

Once assembled, the tool behaves like a normal tool but with visible stats in its tooltip. If you dislike the result, you can salvage it back into parts at the smithing table and rebuild with different materials. Keep spare parts around so you can experiment without losing progress.
