How do I start using the skill tree?
Open your skill tree with the default keybind and you'll be prompted to choose a starting branch (Catching, Training, Breeding, or Harvesting). This choice doesn't lock you out of other paths—you can unlock nodes from any branch later, but your first selection gives you an early boost in that area.
How do I earn skill points?
You gain skill points by catching wild Pokémon, winning battles against trainers, hatching eggs, and harvesting crops like berries and apricorns. The more you engage with these activities, the faster you accumulate points to spend on skill nodes.
What's the difference between type mastery and regular skill nodes?
Type mastery nodes give you specialized bonuses for up to two Pokémon types you choose, such as improved catch rates or battle performance for those specific types. Regular skill nodes provide universal bonuses like increased shiny odds or farming yields that apply to all your activities.
Can I respec my skill tree if I make a mistake?
Yes—server owners or admins can use `/cobblemonskilltree reset ` to completely reset your skill tree nodes, letting you redistribute your points. On single-player, you'll need to use this command yourself or ask your server admin.
