What does the Patrix Resource Pack actually change?
It replaces vanilla textures for blocks, items, boats, doors, signs, and pottery sherds with high-resolution realistic visuals. Because it's a resource pack, it only changes how things look, not how they behave.
How do I get patrix to actually show up after installing it?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Patrix from the left column to the right column so it sits above any other packs. If it still looks vanilla, check that the pack is enabled and that no other pack is overriding it.
Do I need OptiFine or a shader mod to use patrix?
No, Patrix works as a standalone resource pack, but its connected textures and custom models rely on features that OptiFine or a supported mod like Continuity and CIT Resewn provide. Without one of those, some blocks will fall back to plain vanilla-style textures.
Why do some blocks look low-res while others look realistic?
That usually means the pack is only partially applied or another resource pack is loading on top of it. Put Patrix at the top of your active pack list and make sure no other pack is set to override it.
