How to Use Patrix with Mods and Modded Blocks
What Patrix Covers
Patrix is built around vanilla assets: blocks, items, boats, doors, signs, shelves, pottery sherds, and similar content. It does not ship textures for blocks added by other mods, so modded ores, machines, or plants will keep their default look unless a separate compatibility pack exists.
Making Mods Look Consistent
If you run a modpack, load Patrix first, then any add-on or compatibility resource packs above it. Packs placed higher in the Resource Packs list override the ones below, so a mod-support pack sitting above Patrix will replace only the textures it defines while leaving the rest of Patrix intact. Check the pack's own documentation to confirm it is designed to sit on top of Patrix rather than replacing it.
When Textures Look Wrong
If a modded block appears untextured or purple-black, that mod simply has no Patrix-style asset. You can either accept the vanilla-style look or search for a community patch that extends Patrix to that mod. Avoid stacking two full realism packs at once, since conflicting models can cause flickering or missing faces.
