How to Customize or Modify Your Patrix Resource Pack

Why Modify It

You may want to swap a single texture, add support for a mod, or tone down a specific block while keeping the rest of Patrix. Because Patrix is a resource pack, you can edit it like any other: unzip it, change files, and re-zip.

Editing a Texture

Unzip the Patrix pack into a folder. Navigate to assets/minecraft/textures and find the PNG for the block or item you want to change. Replace it with your own image at the same resolution, keeping the same filename and folder path. Re-zip the folder (or leave it as a folder) and load it in Minecraft. The pack will use your edited texture.

Adding Mod Support

To extend Patrix to a mod, create a new resource pack with the mod's namespace folder under assets. Add textures and models matching the mod's asset paths. Load this new pack above Patrix so it overrides only the mod's assets while Patrix handles vanilla.

Keeping Edits Safe

Always keep a backup of the original Patrix pack. If your edits break models, restore the backup and try again. Test changes in a fresh world before applying them to a survival save.
