Frequently asked questions
How do I actually start pasting with this mod?
Load your schematic in Litematica, position and rotate the placement to match where you want it, then use the paste hotkey as normal. The mod intercepts the paste and sends the block, tile entity, and entity data through a custom chat packet instead of the vanilla command, so no extra step is needed beyond having the mod on both sides.
Why do my chests, signs, and spawners paste as empty blocks?
This almost always means the tile entity data isn't being sent, which happens when your Litematica settings aren't configured for this mod. Set commandUseWorldEdit to false and pasteNbtRestoreBehavior to None, then paste again — the NBT should now come through.
Do I need the mod on the server, or just the client?
You need it on both. The client-side Litematica generates the paste commands, but the server needs the mod to accept the extended chat packet and apply the full NBT data. Without it on the server, the extra data gets truncated or rejected.
Why does the block state paste but the NBT doesn't?
Litematica skips re-sending tile entity data when the block state at that position already matches the schematic. If the block is already the right type, break it first or paste into empty space so the full block plus NBT gets placed together.
