How to Paste Tile Entity Data on a Server with Litematica Server Paster
Why tile entity data normally fails on servers
Vanilla /setblock and /summon commands have a chat length limit, so Litematica's normal paste routine strips NBT data (chest contents, sign text, banner patterns, spawner mobs, etc.) when sending commands to a server. The Server Paster mod fixes this by sending the full NBT through a custom chat packet.
Setup and paste
1. Make sure the mod is installed on both the client and the server. Only Litematica is needed on the client side.
2. Open Litematica's config and confirm commandUseWorldEdit is set to false. If it is true, the mod will route through WorldEdit and NBT will be lost.
3. Set pasteNbtRestoreBehavior to None. Other values cause Litematica to try to restore NBT itself instead of letting the server paster handle it.
4. Load your schematic and position the placement so the region lines up with where you want the build.
5. Run the paste (default keybind is the paste hotkey in the Schematic Placement menu).
6. Watch chat — you should see the commands fire without being truncated.
Important caveat
If a block at a target position already matches the schematic's block state, Litematica will skip it, and its tile entity data will not be re-pasted. Break and replace those blocks first if you need their NBT refreshed.
