No—once the resource pack is installed and activated, 3D lanterns and torches will render automatically when you hold them in your hand or offhand. Make sure the resource pack is enabled in your resource pack menu and positioned above any conflicting packs.
Why do my lanterns and torches still look flat?
Check that the resource pack is actually enabled in your resource packs menu (it should show in the 'Active' column, not 'Inactive'). If it's enabled, try moving it above other resource packs in the list, as conflicting packs can override the 3D models.
Can I use 3D lanterns and torches while mining?
