Do I need to start a new world to see the mod's terrain changes?
Yes, you must create a new world after installing Cascades Mod for the new terrain generation to take effect. Existing worlds will continue using their original terrain generation.
Where do I find the new biomes?
The four new biomes (Seasonal Forest, Autumnal Forest, Temperate Rainforest, and Rainforest) generate naturally in your world like vanilla biomes. You may need to travel far from your spawn point or use a biome finder tool to locate them quickly.
Are underground lakes dangerous?
Underground lakes can be hazardous if you fall into them unexpectedly while mining, potentially causing fall damage or drowning. Listen for water sounds while mining and be cautious when digging downward to avoid sudden drops into these lakes.
Why do the removed biomes no longer appear in my world?
Cascades Mod intentionally removes Windswept Savanna, Windswept Forest, Windswept Hills, Windswept Gravelly Hills, Birch Forest, and Old Growth Birch Forest to improve world generation aesthetics. These biomes will not generate in new worlds with this mod installed.
