Locating Seasonal and Autumnal Forests

The four new biomes added by Cascades Mod are distributed across your world like vanilla biomes, but their terrain generation differs significantly. Seasonal Forest and Autumnal Forest typically generate in temperate climate zones. Travel outward from your spawn point in different directions and look for distinctive foliage colors—autumn biomes will display warm orange and red tones, while seasonal forests show varied tree types.

Exploring Rainforest Variants

Temperate Rainforest and Rainforest biomes generate in wetter climate regions. These areas feature denser vegetation and more water features than vanilla equivalents. Use a map mod or simply explore systematically; the smoother land-to-water transitions mean you'll notice biome boundaries more clearly than in vanilla Minecraft.

Terrain Clues

Remember that Cascades Mod creates more dramatic terrain overall. New biomes often appear near the distinctive overhangs, cliffs, and floating islands the mod generates. If you're having trouble locating them, travel to higher elevations and scan the horizon for unique landscape features—the new biomes will have noticeably different vegetation patterns from removed vanilla biomes like Windswept variants.
