Do I need to do anything to start using this mod or does it work automatically?
The mod works automatically out of the box—saplings will start planting themselves as soon as they drop on suitable ground. You only need to configure it if you want to change which plants get planted, disable it in certain areas, or customize behavior.
What blocks count as 'suitable ground' for saplings to plant on?
Saplings will plant on dirt and grass blocks by default. The mod respects Minecraft's normal sapling placement rules, so saplings won't plant on blocks where they normally couldn't grow in vanilla survival mode.
Will the mod destroy blocks that are already in the sapling's spot?
No—the mod only plants saplings if the space is empty (air) or contains replaceable blocks like tall grass. If a solid block is occupying the spot, the sapling won't plant and will remain as an item.
How long does it take for a dropped sapling to automatically plant?
