Prevent Saplings from Planting in Specific Areas

Understand Placement Restrictions

Saplanting Mod respects existing blocks—saplings won't plant if a block already occupies that space (except air and replaceable blocks like tall grass). Use this to your advantage.

Create No-Plant Zones

To prevent automatic planting in specific areas:

1. Place blocks or structures where you don't want saplings to plant

2. The mod will skip those locations automatically

3. Saplings dropped there will remain as items until you move them

Use Replaceable Blocks Strategically

The mod treats replaceable blocks (like flowers, tall grass, and snow) as air—saplings will plant over them. If you want to protect these blocks, place solid blocks underneath or nearby.

Manual Planting Alternative

For areas where auto-planting causes problems, temporarily disable the mod or pick up saplings before they auto-plant. You can then manually place them where needed.
