How to Get Connected Textures Working in Rechiseled
Many Rechiseled blocks have two visual states: a normal version and a "connecting" version that merges edges with neighboring blocks of the same type. Players often search for "rechiseled connected textures" because the effect does not appear automatically.
Why Textures Are Not Connecting
Connected looks in Rechiseled are not a resource pack feature. They are separate block variants. If you place the plain variant next to another plain variant, the edges stay visible. You need the connecting variant of that block.
How to Get the Connecting Variant
1. Hold your Chisel and right-click the block you want to convert.
2. Cycle through the variants until you reach the one labeled as connecting (the wiki lists these as "(Planks Connecting)" or similar).
3. Place connecting variants next to each other. Their borders will merge into a continuous surface.
4. Mix connecting and non-connecting variants deliberately to create borders, frames, or paneled walls.
Common Mistakes
- Placing the wrong variant and assuming the mod is broken.
- Expecting vanilla blocks to connect to Rechiseled blocks; they usually will not.
- Forgetting that slabs and stairs have their own connecting and non-connecting versions, so you must chisel each shape separately.
