Not Enough Animations Mod Wiki & Guide

Not Enough Animations Mod fixes some movement animation bugs and also adds eating animations visible in third-person mode. When rowing a boat, the player’s hands will move, and when aiming with a bow, the player will no longer poke their face with an item in the off-hand. Aww-Yeah!

Step-by-step, in-game.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn on the eating and drinking animations?
They are enabled by default once the mod is installed, so no toggle is needed. Just eat or drink while in third-person view to see the up-and-down motion.
Why can't I see my own animations in third person?
Make sure you are actually in third-person view and that the mod is loaded on your client. Animations like eating, rowing, and map holding only show for the player when viewed from outside the body.
Do other players see my animations or only me?
Other players see them too, including map holding and eating motions. This works because the mod syncs the animation state rather than rendering it locally only.
My off-hand item still blocks my bow aim, how do I fix it?
The mod hides the off-hand item while you aim with a bow or crossbow, so if it still shows, another mod is likely overriding the arm or item rendering. Check for mods that change first-person or arm models and disable their item-hiding behavior.
