Frequently asked questions

How do I put an elytra in the new slot?

Open your inventory and look for the extra slot positioned just to the left of your armor slots. Drag the elytra from your inventory into that slot, or shift-click it to move it there automatically.

Where is the elytra slot in my inventory?

It sits directly to the left of the four standard armor slots in the player inventory screen. If you don't see it, make sure the mod is actually loaded and check whether another inventory mod is hiding or overlapping that area.

Can I wear a chestplate and elytra at the same time?

Yes, that's the whole point of the mod. The elytra goes in its dedicated slot while your chestplate stays in the normal chest armor slot, so you keep full armor protection while gliding.

Why isn't my elytra working after I equipped it in the slot?

Make sure the elytra is actually in the dedicated slot and not just sitting in your regular inventory. You still need to be airborne and press the jump key while falling to start gliding, just like vanilla elytra.
