Using an Elytra and Chestplate Together Without Losing Protection

Why This Matters

Normally, wearing an Elytra means giving up your chestplate and its armor points. This mod removes that trade-off by giving the Elytra its own slot, so both items stay equipped at once.

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Equip your best chestplate in the standard chest armor slot.

2. Place the Elytra in the mod's dedicated Elytra slot.

3. Confirm both are visible on the inventory model.

4. Take off from a height and glide to test.

Managing Durability and Enchantments

Each item keeps its own durability and enchantments. Unbreaking and Mending on the Elytra still apply to flight use, and Protection on the chestplate still applies to damage taken. Repair them separately at an anvil or with Mending while gaining XP. If you die, both items drop as normal, so keep backups if you are flying far from base. Remember that the Elytra slot only holds wings; putting a chestplate there will not work, and the game will reject the item.
