Fixing the Elytra Slot Mod When It Is Not Working

Check the Basics First

If the slot does not appear or the Elytra will not go in, confirm the mod is actually loaded for the correct Minecraft version. A version mismatch is the most common cause of a missing slot. Also verify you are not running a mod that overhauls the inventory screen, since those can hide or replace the added slot.

Common Causes and Fixes

• Slot is invisible: A GUI or HUD mod may be drawing over it. Temporarily disable inventory-altering mods and reopen the inventory.
• Elytra will not insert: Make sure the item is a real Elytra and not a modded wing item that uses a different slot system.
• Chestplate disappears: This usually means the mod is conflicting with an armor-slot mod. Remove one of the two and test again.
• Works in singleplayer but not on a server: The server must also have the mod installed. Client-only installs will not add the slot on multiplayer.

Verifying It Works

After each change, restart the game fully rather than reloading a world. Open the inventory, place the Elytra in the new slot, and glide once. If it still fails, check the mod's config file for a toggle that disables the extra slot, and re-enable it.
