How do I open the Advancement Plaques config screen?

Open the mod list from the main menu or pause screen, select Advancement Plaques, and click the config button. From there you can adjust position, distance, and which advancement types are shown.

Why aren't my advancement plaques showing up at all?

Check that the advancement type you just earned is actually enabled in the config, since tasks, goals, and challenges can each be toggled separately. Also make sure the plaque position isn't set so far off-screen that it renders outside your view.

How do I move the plaques to the bottom of the screen?

In the config screen, change the position setting from top to bottom. You can then fine-tune the distance value to control how far the plaque sits from the screen edge.

Can I stop task advancements from popping up and only see goals and challenges?

Yes, the config lets you toggle each advancement type independently. Disable tasks and leave goals and challenges enabled to only see the more significant notifications.
