How to Change Where Advancement Plaques Appear on Screen

Opening the Config

Advancement Plaques stores its display settings in a config file you can edit in-game or from the mod list screen. Open the mod list, find Advancement Plaques, and click the config button. If your mod loader exposes a config folder instead, look for the Advancement Plaques config file there and open it with a text editor.

Setting the Position

Inside the config you will find an option controlling the vertical placement of plaques. Switch it between the top and bottom of the screen depending on where you want notifications to land. Many players move plaques to the bottom so they do not cover the hotbar or status effects, while others keep them at the top to avoid the chat area.

Adjusting the Distance

There is also a distance or offset setting that controls how far the plaque sits from the screen edge. Increase it to push the plaque further inward, or decrease it to hug the edge. Test by triggering any advancement — completing a simple task advancement is the quickest way — and watch where the plaque lands. Adjust, save, and trigger another advancement until the placement feels right.

Per-Type Control

If you only want certain advancement types to show, the config also lets you toggle tasks, goals, and challenges individually. Disable the types you find noisy and keep the ones you care about.
