How to Craft the Mega Torch in TorchMaster

The Mega Torch is the mod's flagship block: a single placed torch that suppresses hostile mob spawning over a large radius, day or night. Before you can place one, you need to craft it, and that starts with the Frozen Pearl.

Getting a Frozen Pearl

Frozen Pearls are not found in loot or dropped by mobs. You make them yourself. The recipe combines an Ender Pearl with a block of ice or snow in a crafting grid — check JEI/REI in your pack for the exact arrangement, since it can differ between versions. If you have no ice nearby, silk-touch a few ice blocks from a snowy biome or freeze water in a cold biome.

Assembling the Mega Torch

The Mega Torch itself is crafted from a torch plus materials that make it feel like a permanent, heavy-duty light source. Open JEI and search "Mega Torch" to see the current recipe for your version rather than guessing. Once crafted, place it anywhere in your base — it does not need to sit on a specific block.

Placing It Effectively

Put the Mega Torch near the center of the area you want to protect, not at the edge. Its effect is a radius, so centering it covers the most ground. One torch is usually enough for a normal base; spread a few around a large compound. If mobs still appear, you are likely outside the radius — add another torch rather than moving the first.
