How to Fish and Use Anadia Parts in the Betweenlands

Catching Anadia

Anadia are the fish of the Betweenlands. Use the Amphibious Fishing Spear to catch them — it works in the murky water where a normal fishing rod is unreliable. Stand near water, aim at a fish, and spear it. Different Anadia variants drop different parts, so catch several to build up a supply.

What Anadia Parts Are For

Anadia yield Bones, Eyes, Fins, Gills, Scales, Remains, and Swim Bladders. These are crafting and brewing ingredients. Scales and Gills are commonly used in potions and gear recipes, while Bones and Remains serve as general crafting materials. Swim Bladders are useful for water-related effects. Check the Alembic and crafting recipes to see which part each item needs.

Efficient Fishing Trips

Bring the Amphibious Fishing Spear plus Amphibious Boots so you can wade into deeper water safely. Fish during the day when fewer hostile mobs are active, and keep your inventory organized so parts don't clog your slots. Store extras in a chest near your Alembic. If you're hunting a specific part, catch multiple fish rather than relying on one — drop rates vary, and a full stack of scales or gills will save you a return trip later.
