How to Use the Enchantment Library and Disenchanting Features
What These Blocks Do
So Many Enchantments includes utility blocks for managing enchantments, most notably a way to store enchantments and a way to strip them off items. These let you move enchantments between gear without losing them, which is essential once you start collecting the mod's many enchantments.
Storing Enchantments
1. Craft the enchantment storage block (check the mod's recipe in JEI/REI, as the recipe uses standard materials).
2. Place it and open its interface. It holds enchantments as data rather than as physical books.
3. Insert an enchanted item to extract its enchantments into storage, or insert enchanted books to bank them.
4. Retrieve a stored enchantment later and apply it to a new item, preserving the enchantment even if the original gear breaks.
Disenchanting
1. Use the disenchanting option to pull enchantments off an item you no longer need.
2. The extracted enchantment can be kept for reuse instead of being lost when the item is discarded.
3. This is the safest way to salvage a rare mod enchantment from a low-tier tool before upgrading.
Why It Matters
Because the mod's enchantment pool is large, getting a specific enchantment is luck-based. Storage and disenchanting let you accumulate enchantments over time and assemble a perfect item deliberately rather than gambling at the table.
