How to Target Specific Enchantments Instead of Random Rolling

Why Random Enchanting Is Inefficient

With a large enchantment pool, enchanting a fresh item rarely gives the exact enchantment you want. Instead of rerolling endlessly, use the mod's systems to steer results toward a target.

Methods to Target an Enchantment

1. Librarian trading. Lock in a librarian and reroll its trades until it offers the enchanted book you want. This is the most controllable source for a single specific enchantment.

2. Loot and fishing. Enchanted books from chests and fishing occasionally carry mod enchantments. Build a stockpile and sort it with the enchantment storage block.

3. Disenchanting. Pull a wanted enchantment off any item you find it on, then store it for later use on your preferred gear.

4. Anvil transfer. Once you have the book, apply it to your target item directly, or combine duplicates to reach a higher level first.

Reducing Waste

  • Enchant low-value items to probe the pool, then disenchant anything useful.
  • Keep separate storage for each enchantment so you can see which ones you have duplicates of.
  • Combine duplicates into higher levels before applying, to avoid paying anvil penalties repeatedly on the same item.

Result

By combining trading, loot, disenchanting, and anvil work, you can assemble a specific set of enchantments on your gear without relying on lucky table rolls.
