How do I get started with So Many Enchantments?
Craft or find the mod's enchantment table variant and use it like a normal enchanting table, but expect a much larger pool of enchantments to appear. Check the enchantments section of the wiki to see what each one does before you commit levels to it.
Why do I keep getting enchantments I don't want?
The default enchanting still rolls randomly from the expanded pool, so the more enchantments the mod adds, the lower your odds of hitting a specific one. Use the mod's targeting or filtering features instead of rerolling blindly if you need one particular enchantment.
How does the Enchantment Library work?
The library stores enchantments you've extracted so you can apply them later without re-rolling. Feed it enchanted items or books to bank the enchantments, then pull them out onto new gear when you need them.
How do I disenchant an item and keep the enchantment?
Use the mod's disenchanting feature to strip an enchantment off an item and store it, usually as a book or in the library. This lets you move a good roll from a throwaway item onto your real gear.
How do I combine enchantments to get higher levels?
Combine two items or books with the same enchantment the way you would in vanilla anvil merging, and the mod allows levels to stack beyond what vanilla permits for many enchantments. Check the enchantment's entry to see whether it has an extended max level.
Can I put multiple enchantments on one item that normally conflict?
Some enchantments in this mod are designed to coexist where vanilla would refuse the combination, but not all of them. If an anvil or table refuses a pairing, that conflict is intentional and you'll need a different item or enchantment.
How do I target a specific enchantment instead of random rolling?
Use the mod's targeted enchanting or filtering mechanic rather than the standard random roll, and select the enchantment you want before applying. This costs more than a normal roll but removes the randomness.
Why isn't my enchantment showing up in the table?
Some enchantments are restricted by item type, enchantability, or require a minimum level before they can appear. Confirm the item you're enchanting is a valid target for that enchantment and that your level is high enough.
Does So Many Enchantments work with other enchantment mods?

Will this mod hurt my performance or cause lag?
