How to Upgrade Mob Spawners in Simply Swords

Simply Swords includes a spawner upgrade system, which lets you customize mob spawners instead of leaving them at vanilla behavior. This is separate from the weapon tables and uses its own upgrade items.

Getting Spawner Upgrades

Spawner upgrade items are obtained as loot and from the mod's mobs. They are not part of the standard crafting recipe list, so treat them like sigils: explore structures, fight mod enemies, and salvage gear you do not need. Keep any upgrade item you find in a labeled chest until you know what it does.

Applying Upgrades to a Spawner

Interact with a mob spawner while holding the upgrade item. The mod's system applies the upgrade to that spawner, changing how it behaves. Because upgrades are consumed on use, decide which spawner you want to invest in before applying anything. A spawner you plan to farm is the best target.

Practical Tips

  • Do not waste upgrades on spawners you will break later.
  • Build a controlled farming room around the spawner first, then upgrade it.
  • Combine spawner upgrades with the mod's mob drops to farm unique weapon materials.
  • If an upgrade does not apply, check that the spawner is a valid vanilla-style spawner and not a mod-specific block.
