How to Repair Weapons and Armor in Simply Swords

Repairing gear in Simply Swords works differently from vanilla because many of the mod's weapons are unique and may not accept standard repair materials. The reliable path is the mod's own tables.

Repair Through the Mod's Tables

Use the Runic Forge to reforge or restore your weapon. Reforging resets or improves the item's modifiers, and in many cases this is the intended way to keep a unique weapon usable long-term. If a weapon has sockets, remove and reapply sigils or runes through the same table rather than trying to repair it at an anvil.

When Vanilla Repair Fails

Some unique weapons cannot be combined at an anvil with their base material. If an anvil refuses the combination, do not assume the item is broken. Instead, take it to the Runic Forge and check whether reforging is available. For standard diamond-tier weapons added by the mod, anvil repair with the matching material usually still works.

Practical Tips

  • Keep spare copies of unique weapons for salvaging into repair resources.
  • Reforge before a weapon's durability gets critically low.
  • Socketed runes and sigils can be pulled out and reused on a replacement weapon.
