How to Get and Use Runic Tablets, Sigils, and Runes

Sigils and runes are the socketable upgrades that make Simply Swords gear stand out. They are applied through the Runic Forge, and the mod also includes tablet-style items tied to its rune systems.

Obtaining Sigils and Runes

Sigils and runes come from loot chests, mob drops, and salvaging unwanted gear. Runic tablets are typically found as loot or produced through the mod's processing tables. Because these items are not craftable from a simple recipe grid in most cases, exploration and salvaging are your main sources.

Socketing Into Weapons

Take a weapon to the Runic Forge. Place the weapon and the sigil or rune into their slots and confirm the operation. The upgrade is bound to that weapon, so choose carefully. If you later salvage the weapon, some socketed components may be recoverable.

Practical Tips

• Save high-value runes for unique weapons rather than diamond-tier filler gear.
• Reforge first, then socket, so your runes land on a good modifier roll.
• Check loot chests in mod structures specifically for tablets and sigils.
• Salvage gear you do not plan to use; it is a steady source of socketables.
