How to Extend a Wall or Floor with the Basic Transtructor

The Basic Transtructor's core trick is that it places a whole line of blocks from a single click, using blocks you're already holding. This makes it ideal for extending walls, floors, and bridges without placing every block by hand.

Setting up the line

1. Place your first block manually where the line should start.

2. Select the same block type in your hotbar so the Transtructor has something to place.

3. Aim the Transtructor at the face of the block you just placed, in the direction you want the line to grow.

4. Right-click. The tool places a straight run of blocks along that axis, consuming matching blocks from your inventory.

Controlling length and direction

  • The line always follows the face you clicked, so aim at the correct side of the starting block to choose your direction.
  • The run continues until it hits an obstruction or runs out of blocks in your inventory, so keep a healthy stack in hand.
  • To build a wall, extend one row, then stand on the new blocks and extend the next row up. Repeat for floors by extending sideways row after row.

If nothing appears, check that you're holding the right block type and that the target face isn't blocked. Sneak while right-clicking if you want to place a single block instead of a full line.
