Building Long Bridges and Paths Quickly
Long bridges and pathways are tedious to build block by block. The Transtructor tools turn them into a few clicks by extending a continuous line of blocks across gaps.
Bridge across a gap
1. Build out to the edge of the gap and place one block of your bridge material as the anchor.
2. Hold a full stack of that material and select it.
3. Aim the Transtructor at the outward face of the anchor block and right-click to extend the bridge into the gap.
4. Walk onto the new blocks and repeat until you reach the far side.
Making clean paths
- For a path on flat ground, place the first block, then extend along the ground face to lay a straight run.
- Build wider paths by extending parallel rows, using the previous row as your aiming reference so the edges stay straight.
- For elevated roads, extend one line, then extend a second line beside it at the same height for a two-wide walkway.
Tips
- Carry more blocks than you think you need; long runs drain a stack fast.
- If the line stops early, you've either hit a block or run out of material.
- Use the Advanced Transtructor afterward to swap in a nicer surface material once the path is laid out.
