Silent Gear Mechanics: Grading and Synergy

Material Grading

The Material Grader (formerly Part Analyzer) is used to improve the quality of raw materials. By consuming a catalyst (like Glossy Dust or Bort), the grader assigns a rank to the material:

• Ranks: E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. * Higher ranks provide a percentage boost to all stats of that material. An SSS-grade Iron ingot is significantly more powerful than a standard one

Synergy

When mixing different materials in a single gear piece (e.g., a Pickaxe with an Iron head and a Copper binding), the Synergy stat comes into play. * High synergy provides a bonus to all stats. * Low synergy (caused by clashing materials) can penalize stats. * Synergy is calculated based on the compatibility of the materials used.
