Materials and Ores
Silent Gear introduces several unique materials found in the world or created through metallurgy.
World-Gen Ores
- Bort: A type of industrial diamond found deep underground. Used for high-tier tools and as a catalyst in grading.
- Crimson Iron: Found in the Nether. It is the base for Crimson Steel.
- Azure Silver: Found in the End. It is the base for Azure Silver alloys.
Advanced Alloys

Material Stats
Materials are defined by several key attributes: * Durability: How many uses the tool has. * Harvest Level: What blocks it can mine (0=Wood, 4=Netherite, etc.). * Mining Speed: How fast it breaks blocks. * Attack Damage: Base damage dealt to mobs. * Magic Damage: Damage dealt via magical traits. * Rarity: Affects the quality of enchantments and grading success.
Specialized Blocks
Stone Anvil
A primitive workstation used to craft gear parts. It does not require a GUI; players can place materials on it and use a Hammer to craft.
Salvager
The Salvager allows players to break down gear (including vanilla gear and loot) back into its component materials. This is an excellent way to recover rare metals from damaged equipment found in chests.
Starlight Charger
A high-tier block that uses the power of the stars to infuse materials with additional energy, significantly boosting their stats beyond normal grading limits.
Paint Mixer
Allows players to create custom Paint, which can be applied to gear to change its color without affecting its stats. This is purely cosmetic but allows for deep personalization.
