Using Silk Touch and Fortune on Randomite Ore

Enchantment choice changes how Randomite behaves, so pick your pickaxe based on what you actually want out of the ore.

Silk Touch Route

With Silk Touch, mining Randomite Ore or Deepslate Randomite Ore drops the ore block itself rather than triggering the random reward. This is useful if you want to:

• Collect and store ore blocks and break them later when you need resources.
• Move ore to a base or farm area and process it in one session.
• Keep the block for decoration or for trading with other players.

Fortune Route

With Fortune, the block still gives a random drop, but the enchantment can increase how much of that random resource you receive. If your goal is raw materials rather than blocks, Fortune is the better pick.

Choosing Between Them

• Mining trip for materials: bring a Fortune pickaxe.
• Stockpiling blocks to break later or to build with: bring Silk Touch.
• Not sure: carry both and swap based on what you find.

Quick Workflow

1. Explore with a Silk Touch pickaxe and collect ore blocks.

2. Return to base and place the blocks somewhere safe.

3. Switch to a Fortune pickaxe and break them all in one go to maximize the random drops.
