How to Find and Mine Randomite Ore

Randomite Ore generates in the Overworld like most ores, and its deepslate variant appears once you dig into the deepslate layer. Because the two blocks are the only things this mod adds, your whole gameplay loop revolves around locating them efficiently.

Where to Look

Randomite Ore spawns in stone, so it shows up in the same general depth range as common overworld ores. Deepslate Randomite Ore replaces it below the stone-to-deepslate transition, so once you start seeing deepslate, keep an eye out for the randomite texture instead of stone. Branch mining at the deepslate level is the most reliable way to run into it, since that layer is dense with ore veins.

Mining It

Use a pickaxe of sufficient tier to actually get drops — mining with too weak a tool destroys the block without yielding anything. Bring torches, a stack of food, and spare pickaxes so you can stay underground longer. When you spot the ore, mine it like any other ore block; the random reward is generated at the moment it breaks.

Practical Tips

  • Strip mine in straight lines with regular side branches to cover more stone per torch.
  • Carry a water bucket to deal with lava pockets in the deepslate layer.
  • Mark veins you pass so you can return if you run low on pickaxes.
